Armenian parish church has been functioning since 2016. According to remained facts in 1710 Armenian wooden Church existed in the city of Berezhany. In three decades taking into account significantly increased number of the laity construction of proper stone cathedral became a topical matter. By initiative and funds of local priest Fr Deodat Gorbach the construction of new Armenian Cathedral started in 1746 which continued 18 years and in 1764 new cathedral was erected and consecrated in honor of St. Gregory, however the Dominical altar was dedicated to Feast of Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. In historiography and some historical documents the Church is named as Cathedral of the Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception. However, in official documents cathedral is named after St. Gregory in accordance with ancient name and one of the Church’s altars. Armenian Church in Berezhany functioned till the end of the World War II. From 2014 the Church was transmitted to Ukrainian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
