Chapel of the Holy Martyrs (Kiev)

The Chapel’s Project, Mataghatun (Monastery Canteen) and temple complex have been developed by architecture Shirinyan Ashot Maratovich initiated by Agvanyan Hayk Andranikovich and approved and blessed on July 13, 2014 by Archbishop Grigoris Buniatyan. Construction of the Chapel started in July 2014. In August 2014 Archbishop Grigoris Buniatyan blessed the foundation. On November 10, 2014 the corner stone was laid. On September 6, 2015 crosses and bells of the Chapel were blessed. In February 2015 after the letter of the Catholicos of All Armenians Garekin II with regard to fact that on April 23, 2015 1.5 million of the victims of Armenian genocide in the Ottoman Empire would be canonized, the decision was made to give to the Chapel the name of the Holy Martyrs. Construction of the Chapel is expected to be completed at the end of 2017. Construction of temple complex is expected to be completed in 2018.
